Deep’s second release is almost up for grabs by none other than Corren Cavini, the new Dutch rising star that made a big impact on Eelke Kleijn’s imprint Days like Nights.
On Escapism he has traded his brand of progressive house for a much tougher sound. It’s great to see this talented producer fuse styles and not pin himself down to just one direction.
The original Fortified mix has a definite techno feel and is perfectly suited for the late hours. Its no-nonsense arrangement is wasting no time to take you into darker territory. As soon as the big bassline comes in, it’s accompanied by a quirky sonar and a recognizable melody that carries the track all the way. Quality peak-time music!
The Fractured version switches it up by introducing a deeper route with broken beats, huge melodies and a dark, growling bassline.
Available on all major platforms from the 17th of January 2020.

It looks like Deep records is back in business after years off absence. The new Deep 101, Quibus - Sedate me is getting massive plays all around the world. Especially the Francesco Pico remix is gaining strong support from dj's such as Eelke Kleijn, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and many more. Not bad after years of silence. The next release is already set for the 17th of january. More about this is soon to follow!
Quibus, already a steady name in the electronic genre, crafted this beautiful, slow-burning track that takes you places you didn’t know existed.
An effective rhythm section is accompanied by wailing synths, a melancholy guitar and the haunting vocal.
Kollektief provides a stripped-down, cut-in-half edit that makes the most of all the beautiful parts and transports it straight onto radiostations across the globe.
And on closing duties is Francesco Pico who’s tightened up the beats and added a top-melody that will stay with you till you go home. And he’s worked the whole package into a fresh arrangement that will work on any dancefloor.
Deep Records’ first release dates back to 1999 which in electronic music seems like a lifetime. Back in the days everything on Deep was released on vinyl which was distributed through the infamous 3 Beat label management in Liverpool. The label started off with Q-Locks’ Minimal Thoughts and quickly became a major player in the field with focus on new talents. This resulted in successful releases by people such as Matthew Dekay, Petter, 16 Bit Lolitas, Bart van Wissen, René Amesz, Duran and Aytek and countless others. Looking back at all the releases it is easy to realise many of the releases stood the test of fame and can now be labelled as classics.
Lots has changed over the years; the way music is released, the sound and probably most of all the promotion of the music. It is all about the singles these days. The last years all went quiet with Deep but 20 years after the labels' first release it is game on again! Deep will focus again on fresh and new sounds of old and new producers that explore new boundaries in beats and melodies. We are excited and we hope you are as well.
